Fanal Forest was one of my most anticipated stops, and it felt entirely otherworldly from the moment we arrived. Ancient, misty trees stretched in every direction while the island’s gentle bovine locals wandered nearby, guiding us to the best views.
Porto Moniz felt like a dream for ocean lovers. Crystal-clear blue water filled the natural lava pools as waves crashed dramatically against the surrounding rocks. Everywhere you looked was breathtaking, but watching the sunrise over the calm, glassy pools was easily one of the most memorable moments of the trip.
